Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge ReStore accepts tax-deductible donations of usable, new and used building materials and products which are then resold to the public at bargain prices.

In November 2003, when the Habitat for Humanity ReStore opened its doors for the first time, we were amazed at the outpouring of support! Over 250 customers attended the Grand Opening weekend.

The support has continued and since opening, the Habitat ReStore has saved over 1350 tons of usable materials from the landfills and generated over $900,000 in sales to further the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge.  All proceeds support Habitat in our mission to eliminate substandard housing from the greater Baton Rouge area.

Please contact the Habitat ReStore on Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at (225) 355-1895 if you would like to volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  Hours are flexible, and tasks would include recieving and pricing materials and helping customers locate items in the store.  The ReStore would also appreciate volunteers with extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, heating/venting, etc. that would be willing to teach staff and perhaps conduct monthly workshops.
