ReStore

**The ReStore will close on Sunday, April 15 for one month to undergo a store makeover. On Saturday, May 19th the Habitat ReStore's new look will be unveiled after a month-long renovation during which the store's interior will be redesigned and updated in order to improve the shopping experience of our customers. Celebrity guest Steve Thomas, former host of This Old House and national spokesperson for Habitat for Humanity, International, will help us kick off the festivities at the 9:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials. Habitat ReStore Grand Reopening Press Release

In November 2003, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge opened the Habitat ReStore on Airline Highway and Plank Road.  The Habitat ReStore is a retail outlet where quality, used and surplus building materials are sold at a fraction of normal prices. Proceeds from the ReStore help fund the construction of Habitat houses within our community. Materials sold by Habitat ReStore are usually donated from building supply stores, contractors, demolition crews or from individuals.  In addition to raising funds, the ReStore help the environment by rechanneling good, usable materials into use. Since its opening, it is estimated that the ReStore has saved more than 2,500 tons of useable building materials from the landfill.

How You Can Help:
You can volunteer, donate gently used building materials or simply shop at the ReStore.

If you love prowling the aisles at Home Depot, enjoy fixing things, or just want to help recycle building materials while supporting our mission of providing simple, decent housing, the Habitat ReStore needs YOU.  Find out more.

Donate Materials
The ReStore accepts re-sellable and re-useable building material donations.  You can drop off your donation on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, or we will pick them up if it is too large.  Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

The ReStore is a great place to shop for your home improvement needs. Shoppers can find everything from standard windows and doors to unusual tiles and rare vintage finds - all under one roof - at discounts of 50-75% off the retail price.
